Ricardo Abad, co-founder and managing director of Quark, gave his first interview to El Economista after the acquisition of the company by Sener.
Ricardo Abad and Miguel Gallego, Quark's managing directors, together with Sener's CEO Jorge Sendagorta and general manager Gabriel Alarcón, presented the acquisition agreement of Quark by the engineering and technology group Sener at DCD>Connect Madrid 2023.
Quark and Sener have entered a business alliance whereby the engineering and technology group becomes the majority shareholder of Quark. Following the acquisition, Quark will continue to operate under the same name and the current CEOs, Ricardo Abad and Miguel Gallego, will complete the shareholding, maintaining the leadership of the company.
The international investment company Panattoni has chosen Quark for the development of its future Data Center in Barcelona.
Ricardo Abad, Managing Director of Quark, company specialised in the design and management of data centres, participated in the breakfast, “Sustainability in Data Centres”, organised by CompromisoRSE and Schneider Electric at the Westin Palace Hotel.
The data centre sector is in a constant process of evolution, focused on achieving greater energy efficiency and sustainability.
Digitalization is unstoppable and this will increase the demand for MW to meet global needs. But this increase in power is not equivalent to a parallel increase in energy consumption by Data Centers.
