What are the main challenges currently facing the data centre industry?

As the digital economy accelerates, data centers have become the lifeblood of global infrastructure. But with this growth comes a mounting challenge: energy. The rise of AI, cloud computing, and hyperscale campuses is pushing electricity demand to unprecedented levels. It is estimated a power demand of 65 GW to feed hyperscaler data centers globally (ex - China) by 2030, which will translate into an annual consumption of 430 TWh.
