Quark will design for Thor Digital MadridOne, the data center campus with the largest planned capacity in Spain

Quark, a company specialising in the design of Data Centres, will collaborate with Thor Digital in the construction of what will be the LARGEST DATA CENTER CAMPUS IN SPAIN, the investment fund’s first data centre in Spain, and which will cost 600 million euros.

The campus, which has been christened MadridOne, will be located in Fuenlabrada and is, to date, the most powerful project planned, with a capacity of 100 MW, although it will initially have a potential of 40 MW.

For the project, Thor Digital has worked with Spanish urban planning and real estate development firm Arnaiz and Quark for the project design. The licence application has already been submitted and construction is scheduled to start in September this year, with the first buildings to be available by the end of 2024. In short, this is a new space to serve the growing demand for data processing, which increasingly positions Madrid as a digital hub of reference in southern Europe.
